You are a mission-centered problem solver, preferably with a caring connection to Maleek Jackson and/or the Azzim Dukes Initiative (nice to have but not required).
Your skills include strong attention to detail and a willingness to work strategically and collaboratively.
You’re willing and able to commit at least 10 hours a month- without pay– to this volunteer role.
You have significant experience in one of the following required areas:
BOARD TREASURER
THE ROLE:
We seek a Treasurer with strong financial expertise, including skills in budgeting, financial reporting, analysis, and understanding complex financial statements, alongside leadership abilities to guide financial discussions, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulations, all while maintaining a commitment to the nonprofit’s mission and demonstrating integrity in financial management.
HEAD OF PROGRAMMING
THE ROLE:
We seek a board member with experience with planning, implementing, and supervising programs for young people. This person will work collaboratively with staff at Maleek Jackson’s boxing gym to implement after-school and summer programs.
